Visitors to Palm Springs can enjoy a number of attractions. The Moorten Botanical Garden is a great place to see cacti from all over the world. You can also ride a horse through the desert. The Trading Post offers souvenirs and information about the area. While you’re there, don’t miss the Cabazon Dinosaur Museum, a life-size replica of a T-Rex that can be climbed inside.

Palm Springs is a diverse city with something for everyone. It’s gay-friendly and was the first city to elect an all-LGBTQ city council. It’s also home to the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, whose reservation was established in 1876. During the settling of Palm Springs, the federal government distributed land in checkerboard parcels. Even-numbered parcels went to the tribe, and odd-numbered parcels were sold to the railroad.

In addition to the famous Palm Springs International Film Festival, the town is home to a number of unique attractions. The Agua Caliente Band, a group of Native American tribes, is active in the city and runs several spas, hotels, and casinos. Pioneertown is also a popular tourist destination. There are also many art galleries, museums, and shopping centers throughout the area.

Another great activity in Palm Springs is hiking. The Tahquitz Canyon has hiking trails that range from easy to difficult. The trails wind through a granite canyon and cross over a creek several times. You can also enjoy mountain biking in this area.
