Palm Springs is known for its golf courses and desert scenery. The city is also famous for its celebrity culture and offbeat side. There are numerous restaurants, hotels, and museums in Palm Springs. It’s easy to plan a family vacation to the desert city.

One of the best things to do in Palm Springs is to visit the Coachella Valley Preserve. This is the perfect place to take a hike in the summer or fall. You’ll see wildlife, including a fringe-toed lizard, and there are hundreds of animals to feed at the zoo.

Another attraction to take in is the Palm Springs Air Museum. Located near the airport, it features the largest collection of flyable WWII and Korean War aircraft.

Another fun activity to do in Palm Springs is the aerial tramway. It takes about 10 minutes to ride, but it provides great views of the valley.

If you’re a fan of the Rat Pack, you’ll love the Purple Room. This is a former club where some of the members of the Rat Pack used to perform. They included Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., and Frank Sinatra.
