Palm Springs Scavenger Hunts – Fun Random Facts About the City
You’ll find that the weather in Palm Springs is generally warm and pleasant, making it an ideal destination for a vacation. But it can get pretty hot at times, so you’ll want to find ways to beat the heat. Among the best ways to beat the heat is to take part in an outdoor scavenger hunt. The activity will guide you through historic landmarks and tell you interesting facts about Palm Springs.
There are a variety of cultural attractions in Palm Springs, including a museum where you can see the art of Elvis Presley. The former king of rock and roll, along with his wife Priscilla, stayed here for a year before eloping to Las Vegas when the press found out about their secret wedding. Today, this historic home is being restored and even has Elvis cutouts on the exterior.
You can also visit the Agua Caliente Indian Tribe, which has occupied the area for more than 2,000 years. The Agua Caliente Band owns many businesses and operates the Indian Canyons, as well as the Agua Caliente Cultural Museum. Palm Springs is also a great place to visit if you enjoy hiking, biking, or simply relaxing in the desert.
In addition to the windmills, you can also visit Palm Springs’ windmill farms, which are becoming increasingly popular among Instagrammers. There are several windmill farms in the area, and you can take photos of them while driving through them or from the side of the road. The best places to see them are off I-10 near the exit for North Indian Canyon Drive. You’ll find frontage roads right alongside the freeway.
